Privacy Policy for WalletX

Last updated for Stripe payments: 24 May 2026

How we protect your financial data

We designed WalletX so your everyday wallet entries stay on your device. When you pay for business features through Stripe, we use a dedicated, industry-trusted payment partner so sensitive card data never passes through or rests on our own servers in readable form.

We do not store full credit card numbers or sensitive banking credentials on our servers.

  • Card and bank details are entered on Stripe-hosted or Stripe-secured flows, not saved by us as full account numbers.
  • We only retain what we need to run your shop and reconcile payments (for example, business name, contact email, and payment status—not your full card number).
  • We do not sell your payment or shop data to advertisers or data brokers.

Data collection (Stripe payments)

When you set up or operate a business in WalletX and pay through Stripe, we collect and use limited information that a typical business owner would expect:

  • Business profile details you provide (such as shop or business name, contact email, and billing-related preferences).
  • Transaction metadata needed to deliver the service (amount, currency, date, product or token purchased, and payment status).
  • Identifiers Stripe and we use to link your account to a successful payment (for example, a Stripe customer or session ID).
  • Support or fraud-prevention signals if you contact us about a payment issue.

Third-party sharing (Stripe)

We share transaction-related data with Stripe, Inc. (our payment processor) strictly to:

  • Process your payment and deliver purchased business features or token balances.
  • Prevent fraud, handle disputes, and meet applicable financial and tax regulations.
  • Operate refunds or billing support when you or we initiate them through Stripe.

Security measures

Protecting payment data is a shared responsibility between WalletX and Stripe:

  • Connections between your browser or app and our payment flows use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS).
  • Card processing complies with PCI-DSS requirements through Stripe; WalletX does not handle raw card data on our servers.
  • Access to business and billing records on our side is limited to what is needed to operate the service.

Your rights

As a business owner using WalletX, you can manage your data in practical, transparent ways:

  • View and update shop and business profile information in the app (for example, under Business Setup or Settings) where those features are available.
  • Review transactions tied to your business account within the app or via receipts and billing history we provide.
  • Request correction or deletion of shop and transaction data held by us by emailing supportwalletx@jenoleap.co.uk. We will respond within a reasonable time and explain any data we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
  • For payments processed by Stripe, you may also use Stripe’s own tools (such as the customer billing portal, when offered) to manage payment methods and invoices according to Stripe’s policies.

Stripe’s own privacy notice

Stripe processes payment data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to read it at https://stripe.com/privacy when you complete a Stripe checkout.

Previous policy (still applies to local wallet & Google Play)

WalletX privacy policy — 17 April 2026

The following sections were in effect on 17 April 2026 and remain relevant for offline wallet data and in-app purchases through Google Play.

Policy version

  • Effective date: 17 April 2026
  • Previous version (superseded): February 2025

This document replaced the WalletX privacy policy dated February 2025. It remains reproduced below for reference alongside the Stripe payment addendum above.

What changed in this update

  • Introduced a clear split between Local Personal Data and Cloud Business Data.
  • Covered Google Play billing, tokens, and optional business features.
  • Updated refund wording for Pro, subscriptions, and token entitlements.

Privacy Policy for WalletX

Last Updated: 17 April 2026

1. Data Collection and Usage

WalletX remains primarily offline-first. Section 1 below separates what stays only on your device from what may be processed for optional business and purchase features.

Local Personal Data

Your day-to-day financial records, transactions, budgets, and similar entries you create in WalletX are stored exclusively on your local device. We do not have access to this wallet content on our servers. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number from these local-only flows within the app.

Cloud Business Data

When you use Business Setup, adjust Settings that relate to purchases or token allowances, or buy usage tokens or subscriptions, limited Cloud Business Data may be processed so those features can work. Transactions are processed by the Google Play Billing System; Google shares purchase confirmations and related identifiers with us so we can credit tokens, unlock premium tools, and manage subscription state. Any business or receipt-oriented details you enter in Business Setup or Settings are used only to provide those optional features—not for advertising, and not sold to third parties.

2. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Payment Processing: WalletX offers premium features and usage tokens through In-App Purchases (IAP) and Subscriptions. All transactions are processed securely by the Google Play Billing System. Financial Credentials: We do not collect or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or any other sensitive payment information. Purchase History: Google Play shares confirmation of successful transactions with us to enable your Pro features and token balances. This information is used solely for subscription management, token fulfilment, and app functionality.

3. Data Safety and Security

No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell your information. Local wallet data is not uploaded for marketing. Cloud Business Data tied to purchases is limited to what Google Play and we need to operate billing and optional business features, as described in section 1. Encryption: Data communicated between the app and Google Play services for billing purposes is encrypted in transit.

4. Refund Policy

Process: All refunds are handled through the Google Play Store according to their standard policies. Access Revocation: Upon a successful refund, access to Pro/Premium features and unused purchased entitlements (including tokens where applicable) will be automatically revoked and locked within the application according to Google Play rules. Data Integrity: Refunding a Pro upgrade or token purchase will not delete your local data (transactions or budgets); it will only restrict access to premium-only tools or remaining token balance as appropriate.

Request Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please submit your request through our account deletion form or email us at supportwalletx@jenoleap.co.uk.
